Greater Sage-Grouse population to decline from 16 million 100 years ago to between 200,000 and 500,000 today due to residential and building and energy development. This was a commission for a man who has spent much of his life fighting to turn around the decline.

New Agave Bike Racks at the Historic Y Center for the Arts, Education and the Environment. I started with round steel tubing and bent them into four, 6 foot circles and then cut them up to get the desired shapes and added in some recycled bicycle parts. I am really excited about all the possibilities with the new shapes. 
“Half Empty”

Ceramic, Steel and Glass
Play on the idea of perceiving a glass as half full or half empty determining optimistic or pessimistic thought. Thinking of the glass as a sinking ship, that idea is reversed.
This piece was inspired by a friends Halloween Costume and the futuristic ray-guns of the past. The body and trigger are from a classic ding-dong bell. It does ring and was really fun to have at the BICAS Art Auction this year. The sounds of the Ding…Dong could be heard throughout the event.
Little Chair is made out of all bike parts. 10 inches tall.
Second Street Children’s School Commissioned myself through BICAS to build a Day of the Dead Altar that will remain active all year round. This will be a place for the students to remember family members, pets, birds, bugs and plants that have passed on. A number of shelves allow for a place to leave offerings and keepsakes. I built this Alter using Steel and scrap bicycle parts, the boards are from the old shelves at our beloved Casa Video. 6′ x 3.5′ x 8″

This “lunch box” is built using all recycled bicycle rims, U-locks, and other parts. It was off at the 2010 Urban Picnic to benefit Tucson Ballet and BICAS.
